Office of the Chief Executive
The Office of the Chief Executive is headed by the Chief Executive Officer who serves as the accounting officer and principal adviser to the Council. He is responsible for developing enabling conditions in which the town council can achieve the aims indicated in its approved framework of mission, vision and strategy. Furthermore, to translate the town council aims and strategies into specific objectives and requirements for the management team and to provide the leadership that will enable the latter to establish the capacity, structures and conditions within the town council for effective and efficient delivery of services as defined by legislation and development plans of the Government of the Republic of Namibia.
The Office of the Chief Executive is supported by the following Divisions:
Divisional Head: Corporate Communications
- To develop and coordinate all corporate communications strategies, policies and procedures, and to provide advice and guidance to the CEO, colleagues and line managers on all public relations issues facing the town council in order to ensure that the image and identity of the town council and council is protected, maintained and promoted.
Divisional Head: Executive Support Services;
- To plan, implement and control all administration support services required by the Office of the CEO and the Office of the Mayor.
Divisional Head: Information Communication Technology.
- To plan, develop and maintain the town council’s information & communication technology systems and provide technical support to its users.
